| THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11 |

|
| 24X24 ACRYLIC ON CANVAS |
I
was born in New York City the year my father became a FDNY fireman. The fact that I relocated to California many years
later never altered my heart's position of being a full-fledged New Yorker. On 9/11 it was my city that was attacked,
and 10 years later, it is my city that is recovering from that awful day, and rebuilding the site in a most tender way.
My painting
is a tribute to the lives lost, and the 343 NYC firefighters who did not make it through their rescue mission.

The memorial, which opens on 9/11,
features the footprints of the original World Trade Center towers turned into two square below-ground reflecting pools, each
nearly an acre, fed from all sides by 30-foot waterfalls that begin just above ground level and are bordered by continuous
bronze panels inscribed with the names of those who died there and in Washington and Pennsylvania.
